About Us

Accurate and confidential suspension testing

Founded in 2003, Morse Measurements, LLC is an independent, privately held company, with no vehicle manufacturer or race team affiliations. We are very proud of our independent status, as it ensures our customers’ security and confidentiality. Our specialty is suspension kinematics and compliance (K&C) testing and suspension consulting. Our K&C work led us to the purchase of an Anthony Best Dynamics suspension parameter measuring machine (SPMM) in 2004. This K&C machine is the centerpiece of our Salisbury, North Carolina automotive test center which opened on October 10, 2005.

Suspension K&C testing has become a vital part of vehicle development and racing programs; assisting engineers in the design, tuning, and simulation of vehicle suspensions for improved handling and ride performance. Historically, comprehensive suspension K&C testing has been the domain of a few large automobile and tire manufacturers, but Morse Measurements LLC has changed all that by offering a truly public suspension K&C test facility – the first, and only, of its kind in North America.

We offer a range of services to race teams, automotive development engineers, and aftermarket part developers. From K&C testing, to coordinate measurements of suspensions (CMM), to damper characterization, we can help get you the suspension data you need!

MSME, Purdue University
BSME, Lehigh University

Bob is from Lancaster, PA. He was a professor at Davenport University for six years, and simultaneously an engineering consultant. He was also a development engineer at Delphi Automotive Systems for three years. Bob has experience with steering system design, control system integration, lab testing, and data acquisition. He has worked as a consultant with a number of automotive OEMs, software companies, and racing teams. In his spare time Bob races a Spec Miata with SVRA and SCCA. Bob has also been to Mardi Gras.

Wil Oberlies

Wil Oberlies

Vehicle Dynamics Engineer

BS, Rochester Institute of Technology

Wil is from Rochester, NY, and graduated from the Rochester Institute of Technology in 2015 with a BS in Systems Dynamics and Control. He has worked as a race engineer in various closed and open-wheel series. Since then, his focus has been in the field of theoretical vehicle dynamics, studying both steady-state and transient characteristics of ground vehicles using time and frequency domain methods. He continuously advances his knowledge of the topic through professional seminars and refining models and simulations. Despite his advanced age, he remains (relatively) active, and enjoys running, cycling, or at least a brisk walk.

Jill Simons

Jill Simons

Office Manager

AS, Davenport University

Jill is from Sebewaing, MI, which is in the “Thumb” of Michigan. Jill has wide ranging experience, from manufacturing to living on a farm to being an office manager for a manufacturer of custom motorcycles.
